Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the best candidate for our Head of Sales (HoS) role is an accomplished Sales and Marketing professional in the Insurance or Insurtech industry. The HoS will be accountable for delivering revenue growth through client acquisition and retention. This candidate’s focus will be on establishing and nurturing relationships with new clients throughout the US, as well as developing, leading, and inspiring a talented sales team. As HoS the best candidate will be responsible for driving sales strategies and exceeding targets, while also ensuring the seamless delivery of products and services to our clients.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market share
  • Build, lead, coach, and manage the sales team, including hiring and training new team members
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver sales reports to management on a regular basis
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships and executive relationships
  • Collaborate with internal leadership related to future product strategy to increase revenue with differentiating value propositions
  • Engage with the firm’s clients as a company leader and client advocate
  • Own relationship profitability, pricing and terms of business with clients to achieve profitable growth
  • Represent the company at conferences and social events to raise the profile and develop positioning of the firm with target audiences.

Position Requirements

  • 10+ years of sales experience in the SAAS or insurance industries
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business or marketing
  • Proven track record leading a SaaS sales team and implementation of relationship management - client engagement models.
  • Prior responsibility for the development of the strategic go-to market plan including competitive analysis, account targeting, territory strategy and coverage, alliance strategy, pricing strategy, and sales organization design (structure/size)
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel as needed for business development and sales activities
  • Ability to work remotely most of the time with the willingness to work in an office environment occasionally
